Making quality dental care accessible and affordable for eligible Canadians.
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program designed to make dental care more affordable for eligible Canadians who do not have access to private dental insurance. Eastdale Family Dental is proud to be a participating provider β you can receive the care you need without worrying about the cost.
The plan is administered by Sun Life on behalf of the Government of Canada and covers a wide range of essential dental services including exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, and more.
You may be eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan if you meet all of the following criteria:
You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
Your adjusted family net income is under $90,000 per year.
You do not have access to private dental insurance through an employer, pension plan, or purchased independently.
You or your spouse/common-law partner have filed a Canadian tax return for the previous year.
Coverage amounts vary based on your household income. Canadians with a family income under $70,000 receive 100% coverage; those between $70,000β$79,999 receive 60%; and those between $80,000β$89,999 receive 40%.
Reduces or eliminates out-of-pocket dental costs so you can get the treatment you need without financial stress.
Covers routine check-ups, x-rays, and cleanings β catching small problems before they become costly ones.
Oral health is closely linked to heart disease, diabetes, and other conditions. Regular dental visits protect your whole body.
Many seniors who previously couldn't afford dental care can now access essential treatments, improving quality of life.
The plan covers eligible dependants, making it easier to keep the whole family's oral health on track.
Covers exams, x-rays, cleanings, fillings, extractions, dentures, and more β based on dental necessity.
